
Typographical do-gooders travel across the US righting grammatical wrongs. More after the jump.
It is almost unreal when you see signage that people have paid hundreds and, in some cases, thousands of dollars for with glaring errors on them. Most seem to be misplaced apostrophes while others, like this sign I found on Roncesvalles last summer, are a brain-rattling combination of typos and poor grammar. It’s a losing battle, but these two men have made it their mission to fight it.

Really… “almost unreal”… I would have thought it totally unreal, and I’m not refering to the originators of the errors…
For those of you that have not heard it, Stephen Fry has produced an excellent “podgramme” about these netherless nancies. You can find it titled “Language” at Stephen Fry’s website, http://www.stephenfry.com - pedants beware, you may find yourself changing how you feel about your actions after hearing this hilarious dissertation on the nature of language, and your ’supposed’ right to run about like little “grammar-gestapo” in a sense of ’saviour-hood’…
