Jessica Hische Illustration

Great style from this Brooklyn based illustrator. These are two of six pieces that ran as covers, each showing why Boston is great in the winter.

paintdrop sculptures

some amazing artwork by canadian born artist chris dorosz.

“Out of material discovery I began to regard the primacy of the paint drop, a form that takes shape not from a brush or any human-made implement or gesture, but purely from its own viscosity and the air it falls through, as analogous to the building blocks that make up the human body (DNA) or even its mimetic representation (the pixel).”

check out the rest of his paintdrop sculptures here, and his portfolio here.

Deus Ex Machina

Incredible bike company from Australia. Their style is a throwback to 40’s custom bike culture, designing bare bones motorcycles as well as fixed gear bicycles. Wicked brand, huge fan of the hand-done feel. Have a look at their site here.

The name “pineapple” does no justice to and besmirches the reputation of this fine tropical fruit. Let your voice be heard here.

Beautiful, striking, shocking Heath Ledger-directed video for Modest Mouse’s “King Rat” premiered earlier this month, over 18 months after the Academy Award-winning actor passed away tragically at the age of 28. “King Rat” was co-directed and illustrated by Daniel Auber with lead animation by Norris Houk, animation by Jade Taglioli and produced by Sara Cline.
