Cooka – “placemat stove” by Maurizio Maiorana

I wish I had one of these when I was in university, what a wonderful idea – to be able to have a lightweight, portable stove for whenever you need it.  Or imagine having an oven in your kitchen, with no permanent stovetop – just coveted counterspace everywhere – you just plop out your placemat stovetop whenever/wherever you need it. The Cooka placemat stove is created of non-toxic LSR (Liquid Silicon Rubber) that you can roll up and stow away easily. The cooking plates heat up/cool down rapidly with silver thermal conduction.

Oh my, wouldn’t that solve cooking while travelling problems. I don’t know how much this thing weigh, but I picture it as an ideal equipment for all the backpackers!

I would REALLY like one of these! The stove at our apartment is always on the fritz, and this looks easy to clean.

Would buy this in a second!
