Terrible Yellow Eyes is a collection of artist’s work inspired by Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s book, Where The Wild Things Are. The website is full of imaginative interpretations of the book’s characters, settings and story. Clearly the original book has provided countless artists and illustrators with the motivation to create images of their own, I know that personally a grade 11 art class assignment to create an illustration for the book really sparked my interest in illustration as a profession.

He’s a French illustrator that one day aspires to devote his life to time travel… Some great looking work though, definitely a popular styles these days.

Wicked headphones designed/illustrated by Parra for Perfect Unison. I like how clean they are, kind of sucks you can’t adjust them.

Some good looking illustration and design work on the pre-release of Cargo Collective. It’s striving to establish an online community to “dramatically increase the accessibility and exposure of creative individuals on the Internet, while aspiring to build a networked context that will contribute to the culture as a whole”. Above is the cover of Australian Creative, done by ‘Nice To Meet You‘.

Amazing work by artist Mario Hugo. Really impressed by the depth, texture, and attention to detail each and every piece has; specially his unique approach to typography (check out the cover for Beck as a testament to that).
Check out his site here, and while at it, also check out HUGO & MARIE.

Born in the UK, he’s shown all over the world. Above is a grab from one of his sites, lots of mayham worth checking out. He’s represented by Breed (some other artists/designers worth checking out on there too).

Another day, another cool artist from San Fran. Really liking his feel good 60′s vibe spanning across many mediums.
Check out his site here.

Some great looking work and an awesome site from HelloVon, a studio set up by London based illustrator and artist Von. He does a great job of mixing realistic drawings and handwork into design. Check the site here. Reminds me of Si Scott.

Great style from this Brooklyn based illustrator. These are two of six pieces that ran as covers, each showing why Boston is great in the winter.

Here’s an interesting interview with artist & illustrator Jeff Soto in his garage studio. Seems like a really nice lad.
