Another incredible video from Nike, employing their usual combo of pro athletes doing awesome stuff and a slow building, energetic, and emotionally charged soundtrack. It could have ended a bit stronger, but still some great stuff.

London based animation firm Sweet World did some neat light animations for the recent rebranding of Virgin Media’s channel Filmflex. Some of their stuff is, as they call it, ’sensitive’ (i’d call it a bit cute-sy), but still worth a look. Check out some of their work here.

Paper animations and photography have really blown up lately. Kelly’s definitely not the first to explore this area, but he’s still doing some really interesting work (particularly liking his more recent ‘Democracy’ and ‘The Seed’). There’s an interview up on Don’t Panic, check his site to see more.

Philips is creating some pretty trippy, unique, cinematic mini movies to promote their various products. It seems to be working - look at me wanting to show you these, they are very nice. Watch an online mini movie to promote “real cinema experience at home with state of the art picture and sound quality in all Philips TV ranges”.

I saw this on QBN and had to share it, some next-level programing. I’ve seen blacked-out screens before (usually done with a fill colour on a higher than zero z-index), but never something as controlled as this. Check it here, nicely done.

Awesome promo done by the 4th Estate to commemorate their 25th anniversary. Apt Studio helped them pull it together, using over 1000 books in the making.
